PIERCING AFTER CARE

We hope you enjoy your new body piercing.  For a happy and healthy healing, we suggest the following instructions during the entire healing process.  The healing process will vary from person to person and for different piercings.  Should you have questions or concerns about your piercing, do not hesitate to come by or call.

FOR MOST PIERCINGS

CLEANING SOLUTIONS

Antibacterial, Unscented, non-moisturizing SOAP

Sterile Isotonic Saline solution

FOR ORAL PIERCINGS

CLEANING SOLUTIONS

Internal care:  ANTISEPTIC non-alcohol Oral Rinse

External care:  Antibacterial, unscented, non-moisturizing SOAP

  1. Wash the piercing twice (2x) daily using SOAP and warm water.  Wash your hands before you touch the piercing ALWAYS.  DO NOT BANDAGE YOUR PIERCING.

  2. Rinse all soap, shampoo, etc. from your body and wash your piercing LAST in the shower.

  3. Rotate the jewelry while cleaning.  Leave it alone while not cleaning it.   The less you touch it, the less likely you are to get an infection.  WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE TOUCHING THE PIERCING!

  4. After rotating the jewelry while using SOAP, rinse the piercing thoroughly with warm water and pat dry with a paper towel (regular towels may harbor bacteria or may snag the jewelry).

  5. Use saline solution 2-3 times during the day to cool and clean off any “crusties” between showering/washing with soap.  Wash your hands, soak a cotton ball with saline, hold it on the piercing for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Should you have questions or concerns about your piercing, please contact Titan Tattoo.
